Can any body tell me which color should i paint in my bedroom ? i want it to be romantic but yet modern?

Paint one wall black, (preferably the wall with the window so it's not completely dark.) two red, and one white. Buy black furniture and you're done! Easy and simple! I know that this sounds weird but trust me, this is becoming very popular and I'm also thinking about doing it.

You both are on the right track with the blues and lavenders for a romantic bedroom. Try to find a light periwinkle shade that suits you both. Maybe buying bedding that you both like first will help you choose the exact shade. I have "Violet Vignette" (Sherwin Wms.) in one of my rooms and it looks blue or lavender, depending on the light and what bedding I use.

the color of the walls could be light to mid light. Low watt and tinted light bulbs will be the truest way to evoke atmosphere.
I would tint the blue you already have just to get it away from a baby blue. Get it to a , terquois, greyblue, teal. just buy a very small can of green or dark grey. make sure you are buying a waterbase or oilbase to comply with your blu.

a beaver told me

I would say...blizzard blue for the first wall...playboy pink for the second...a touch of light salmon on the roof...third wall should be...a plum color...and the fourth wall...maybe a nice saddle brown...the carpet should blend...so lets make it a...fuchsia...the first wall should have a splash of black daisies...maybe paint a hot naked guy on the roof...for the times when the sex aint that good...maybe some secret doors for those times when you just need to get away from the bastard...yep :)...that sounds good :)...

Deep colors. Light colors can make a room look childish, especially if it is a purple. If you don't like red, try a deep indigo or violet, but hang up lots of mirrors so the room doesn't seem small. Dark colors can be constricting and give the illusion of less space.

You could passably have someone paint a Scen of were you two meet or were he proposed. you could try painting a field of purple flower on the lower half of the wall then make the blue the sky and paint one tree with a hart in the middle of it with your internals in it.

I love Wine Red!, with black, or a fall orange color, as the accent color! umm but yeah loose the light blue, I prefer the purple!! if your hubby wants a blue, you can use white walls and using a darker aqua blue, than that looks good, like an ocean clean fresh room!! oooyeahh!! Good luck!

Try painting some of the wall with the paint to see if you like the color...paint in a can is hard to tell if you like it or not.

Try adding greens around the room, make the color blue the sky....and you could use different colors to bring in a garden theme...

well blue can be laced or accessorized with a pretty color.
or u can have sky blue that fades at some point in the room
or a peach white. the furniture helps with the room's look too
the style of the furniture especially.

Purples and blues are very soothing. You could try a yellow to brighten the room and add energy. An orangy red could be sexy in the right shade without being over whelming.

a really deep chocolate brown. you can still use the light blue to accent the room, and can even pull in some lavenders along with the blue

i think that a burnt orange or a deep violet sets the mood perfectly for a romantic theme but its up to you =D best of luck! <3

If you want romantic, you should lean toward redish orange or brown. Add a few candle lights here and there and you got the 5 star romantic suite!

Lavender! But light. That is pretty modern but it's also very romantic at the same time.

How do i get rid of Lizards at my place?? they are roaming as if they own the house nt me :( they are everywhe?

to get rid of lizards ,

turn off the lights in your room when you are not around so they won’t hang out in there.turn off the lights when you go to bed.

you can also use your pets to just scare the lizards away.

keeping the house clean you can get rid of lizards.like any other pests, like rats and roaches, lizards eat uncovered food or just crawl over it. it would be a good thing if you use food containers that can be closed tightly, especially those that do not allow air to enter.you can put the food inside the refrigerator, but make sure it doesn't rot there. don't leave left overs hanging around the dining area.by not letting any food in the open, you do not only get rid of lizards, but other pests inside the house, too.just remember that you cannot really get rid of lizards immediately, so it's best to just clean your house regularly.

peacocks feed on lizards just like snakes, which is why lizards are afraid of them. feathers of a peacock are enough to scare these small reptiles. what you have to do with peacock feathers is to hang them on the ceiling, stick them on the wall, or just put them in places where lizards usually stay.

i hope this will help you

lizards can be got rid of by using peacock feathers.
I have tried this myself.
It is very useful and effective.
It also adds beauty to your house.
Using peacock feathers, does not kill the lizards but makes them run away.
At the same time.. using some kinda pesticide or killer spray may harm the insect.

Lizards are reptiles. They lay eggs. Eggshells lying around are the best option since the lizard will be (reportedly) scared when it sees the eggs (a bigger reptile on the prowl as a lizard sees it) lying around. Someone suggested eggshells close to Windows (I dunno how that works but maybe it does). May I request you to avoid pesticides and insecticides etc.. We humans dislike them just because of our brain-wiring which makes us scared of reptiles. Lizards are quite harmless, they eat insects and are generally just another creature given by Mother Nature.

Look for the areas in and around your house that are frequented by lizards. Generally, they are found in the places with the heaviest population of bugs. Since lizards feed on bugs, you need to get rid of the insects first, to keep them out of your premises. Spraying bug repellant will kill the insects, thereby reducing the number of lizards frequenting the area.

Another effective way to get rid of lizards would be to use an electric repellant. Plug in the repellant. When it is switched on, it will begin to emit a high frequency sound, which is not audible to human ears. The lizards will detect the high frequency sound easily and find it quiet intolerable. Eventually, they will stay away from the place, where the repellant is plugged in.

Repair the cracks in the corner of the windows and doors of your home. This will minimize the chances of lizards entering your house, as they generally get in through small cracks and holes.
Cover your windows with metal screens.
Patch the small openings in your house with sealants, so that the lizards don't get through them.

FIX THE EGG SHALE ON THE WALLS OF YOUR ROOM wherever you find the unwanted visitors.

The shale may be visible to you are you can hide it by putting it behind any of the fixtures on your room's walls.
Its natural...
I've som suggestions...
First mix rat killer poison (which is available in med. ) with flore & then place where lizard use to com...
Somerimes. "Hit" or "mortin" also effextive

you may keep "egg" cover, lizards cant resist its smell. and they dont enter the area where its kept.

how to avoid cocroch in the house ?

go for a pest control
aLL sORT oF pEST wILL GO aWAY

As the Pest Control Professional I suggest first to

1.Deny Entry like using the nanny trap which is designed to avoid the entry of roaches in to the house from drains.Do screening of the incoming material like u r crockery from outside or the baggage when u r coming from outstations.

2.Deny Food.

If the cockroach by chance entered in to u r premises please avoid the food. The way to do it don't keep any food material open during nights, even the barthan.

3.Deny shelter:

Even if u provide the food by mistake don't give the shelter like keep a vigil on the cracks and crevices in the kitchen where these insects will rest.

4.Last option is to destroy.

Need to use covered dustbins.
In the kitchen shelves before keeping any container if you draw lines in the corners with lakshmanrekha that also will avoid ants along with cocroch.
You can do the same in any part of the house but keep lakshman rekha out of reach to children.
I do that personally at home.
Try this out.

1.Clean kitchen/ chimney daily,Shelves etc fortnightly.
2. No open food leftouts at kitchen/home
3. Pour about a lit of boiling water everynight in the sink.
4 .Spray good brand of cocroch killer at the bottom of gas cylinder on arrival (outside yr door pl).
5. Dont open cartons of fridge etc inside the house on delivery
6. Keep a dim light on in the kitchen at night.
7. Spray Cocroch killer below Washing m/c fridge etc once in a fortnight.

Family and friends.

Mix fresh (unboiled) cold milk with Boric Acid(powder) thoroughly with smooth consistency. Make small balls of the same. Place them in all places. little more in dark places and where cockroaches may be hiding. Or even use the same as paste and affix/stick to the walls, under the sink/kitchen platform, stoves, etc.
This is used by me and very effective. After one or two days you may not even find any cockroaches. After many months when you find movement of cockroaches, again place the same way.

Read in some magazine and also heard from some of relatives long back.

my white clothes turned grey, what do i do?!?

1) dark fluff from the dark clothes stuck to the white clothes (fix: lint brush),
2) dye from the dark clothes runs into the whites (fix: bleach, preferably oxygen bleach it's more gently on both you and your clothes but chlorine will work too if you're willing to take the risk to your endocrine system). You can also get dye run remover from the supermarket - it's not a bleach it acts to remove excess dye from clothing.

Put the whites back in the washer with a scoop of Tide with Bleach. If you don't have "Tide with Bleach" and can't get some, then use your regular detergent and add about 3/4 cup chlorine bleach. Make sure the water is turned to Warm. Turn the washer on and let it get started and run for a few minutes so the water, bleach and detergent gets mixed up well with the clothes. Then turn the washer off for at least an hour. (If you have a Soak cycle, turn it to that). After it has soaked for an hour or two or three, turn it back on and let it run through the rest of the cycles and all the gray should be out.

Which air cooler is best in this summer with low price?

CG have good products

A swamp cooler is cheapest and it does a good job. But if it gets humid or very very hot, it doesn't cool as well.

Haier is inexpensive and seems to work well.We have had our window unit for quite some time, and it does a good job.

Split AC outside unit vibrating?

the outside unit of my split ac was vibrating loudly this morning. so i shut it off. 5 mins later i turned it back on, to find the outside fan was not working. the service ppl are acting difficult, and saying itll tkae them 4 days to come to see it. i just turned the ac on 3 mins ago, and its working fine...outside and inside. my question is....is this normal, ie, does it happen to all acs sometimes?

may be some crow or rat must have done something to the outdoor unit. just check it,if it is free from any obstacles and try turning the fan by hand for free rotation.if it is hard to rotate, then your are having some problem.

Whats the best way to kill tree roots?

Rock salt will kill them plus what plants that are around them.

Source(s):

A tree surgeon told us to make ridges going both directions in a tree stump amd put rock salt in the ridges to kill it.

Drill some holes in the tree roots and fill them with table salt. Inexpensive and you wont take a chance on killing anything else or contaminating your soil.
or
best way to kill any tree is to cut a 1 inch gash all the way around the circomferance of the tree. the tree may look fine for several months but it will certainly kill it....
whatever you do, do not use chemicals

cut them and pull them out in manageable sections , and them just be vigilant , otherwise you might ask an arborist

QuestionShow me another » Question on painting my house walls...?

Use bright, warm colors - such as coral or apple green - to impart a feeling of coziness in a family room. These colors can warm up a cool room that has limited natural light.

Let cool colors such as sage green and sky blue wrap you in a calm ambiance, as in a bedroom. These colors can chill a room, so they're best used when there's plenty of sunlight as a balance.

To destress, think neutrals such as pale gray, taupe and beige, which exert a restful influence. They work well in a library, media room or family room.

Set a young, playful mood with primary colors. They're great in children's rooms or playrooms.

Paint walls dark, rich colors such as deep taupe, brick red, slate gray or sapphire blue to set a formal, sophisticated tone and add a sense of drama. A formal dining or living room is a candidate for these deep colors.

Avoid bright white, which tends to be very stark and unsettling, evoking a sterile operating-room atmosphere. In most environments, a white with a touch of rose, ivory or gray is more comforting..

White. Some people can choose a color and make it look like they knew what they were doing, but if you need advice the advice is white. You can get lots of shades of white, but if you use an actual color you will be surprised by how dark it looks, much darker than it looked in the paint store. So paint your room white, and if you want more color you can hang posters or curtains or something.

Kitchen ought to be paint by this colour that has its effect of light in cooking area...
